Generosity and Stewardship
As people of faith in the Alaska Synod, we strive to grow as generous stewards of all that God has first given us. Below you'll find some great stewardship resources for reflection, congregational programming and personal growth. Stewardship is, after all, a faith practice. In 2018, the ELCA Generosity Project came to the Alaska Synod with an inter-active and inter-generational workshop to help recognize God's grace and generosity through cross generational interaction. The Generosity Project helped us sing, pray, practice, move, laugh, learn and worship together. We held this workshop in Anchorage, Palmer, Fairbanks and Ketchikan in October 2018. In 2019, The Generosity Project workshop is being held in Fairbanks and Valdez, with more sites planned for 2020. If your congregation would like to host the Generosity Project workshop, please contact the synod office. The Alaska Synod served as a pilot synod for the Generosity Project and many congregations have already received a binder with the Generosity Project workshop manual and other related materials. You can also access those materials below. The Generosity Project also has a six-week curriculum that can be used as a follow up to the workshop or used as a series for inter-generational education or "edu-worship." For more information, contact the synod office. |
