Generosity and Stewardship
As people of faith in the Alaska Synod, we strive to grow as generous stewards of all that God has first given us. Below you'll find some great stewardship resources for reflection, congregational programming and personal growth. Stewardship is, after all, a faith practice.
In 2018, the ELCA Generosity Project came to the Alaska Synod with an inter-active and inter-generational workshop to help recognize God's grace and generosity through cross generational interaction. The Generosity Project helped us sing, pray, practice, move, laugh, learn and worship together. We held this workshop in Anchorage, Palmer, Fairbanks and Ketchikan in October 2018.
Through the generosity of our partners at ELCA churchwide, the Alaska Synod is part of a pilot project to utilize the brand-new Generosity Project curriculum, a 6-week curriculum that can be used as "edu-worship," a workshop or an education hour. It's one-hour long and meant for all ages. You can customize the curriculum in any way that works, or pick and chose components to use as newsletter articles, youth group activities, adult study hour, sermon illustrations and more. The curriculum is free and on this website for a limited time;
