Because we are part of Christ's body outside our congregation's walls, congregations are asked to report on their activities in categories that span the width and depth of ministry in the 9252 congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.
All congregations submit an annual report online. These reports are collected by our ELCA Research and Evaluation staff who use your information to update your congregation's trends on elca.org. Each congregation receives their password for the year that is unique to the congregation. These reports are best filled out by a team of the pastor, council treasurer, and your office manager or Education chairperson.
You can find synod reports related to membership, giving, population and demographic changes by connecting to the ELCA Resources page.
The deadline is February 15. Last year, 95% of our congregations participated. Thank you!
Please submit your congregational report here.
All rostered leaders, active and retired, serving in specialized ministry or in a congregation, are asked to submit an annual report to their synod office. (It is in the constitution.)
These reports give your synod staff information about your interests and plans for the year. These reports from active clergy inform our work on synod guidelines.
The report is also due on February 15, by email attachment or hard copy.
