We'd like to introduce or remind you of an upcoming faith-based learning series sponsored by the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC). Why we should care about Luther – Martin Luther on the Holy Spirit and the Christian Life is a free spiritual enrichment opportunity you and your church members don't want to miss!
For four weeks, participants will explore the roots of their faith through a discussion led by esteemed Luther scholar and LSTC faculty member Dr. Candace Kohli. “Unlike other theologians Luther is animated, and you get a sense of his personality,” Kohli shared in a recent article written for the Epistle Magazine. “He’s rude, he’s bawdy, he talks about excrement and there’s something amusing about him.”
You will come away from this experience with a fuller understanding of Martin Luther and the confidence that your ideas and spiritual practices, like Luther's, can change the world. You can see a full schedule and list of topics below.
The series is being hosted via Zoom to allow parishioners from Lutheran churches nationwide to participate and create a diverse and enjoyable learning community. We encourage you to share this information with your church and look forward to having you participate in these sessions.
