2023 ELCA Youth Leadership Summit -
Adult Nomination Form

On behalf of the 2023 Youth Core Leadership Team (YCLT), we are excited to share the plans for the 2023 ELCA Youth Leadership Summit taking place November 2nd-5th at the Churchwide Office in Chicago, IL.
The Youth Leadership Summit empowers and inspires young people within their congregations, communities, and synods to embrace their calling and become influential leaders beyond their current context. This year's theme, “Called on The Way” focuses on exploring the unique journeys that individuals take in response to their calling and how these journeys shape their leadership abilities. Comforting his disciples, Jesus declares, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6). Throughout the Summit we will be exploring narratives of people being called throughout the scriptures learning alongside our many ELCA advocacy partners.
Each synod is invited to send two youth leaders (in grades 9-12) and one adult to the ELCA Youth Leadership Summit. All lodging, meals, programming, and airport transportation is provided. Our synod will cover the airfare to and from the airport. Additional information along with incentives for early registration will be hosted on our new website. Please nominate adult and youth participants by September 15.
Each person chosen will be contacted by the synod office to complete registration with the Summit.
The Youth Leadership Summit is a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America and partners with Christian Community and Leadership Mission Unit, Discipleship and Inclusive Communities, the SYMBOL Network, the ELCA Youth Gathering, The Formation Lab, the 65 Synods across the United States, ELCA Disability Ministries and ELCA Ethnic Specific Ministries.
